Managing your Account Settings

On the left navigation menu, choose Settings and then one of the sub-menu items.  There are several account settings that you can configure from here.

Billing / Invoices

This page will show invoices generated from Streamline Landlord Service to you.

Invoices are created for each month that you have purchased something on the platform.  If you have not made any purchases, no invoice will be generated. 

Billing / Payment Methods

On this page, you can manage your payment methods.  There are two different types of payment methods that can be used: Pre-Authorized Debit (PAD) or Credit Card.

PAD is available only for premium accounts registered to collect rent payments. At least one payment method must be a credit card.

The blue circled checkmark shows your primary payment method, charged during monthly invoicing. Use the Pin icon to change your primary payment method.

You can delete any payment method that is not your primary payment method.  Deleting your primary billing method will close your account.

 

Profile

On this page, you can manage your basic contact information.

Security

This page allows you to change your email address, which is also part of your sign-in credentials, your password, and enable two-factor authentication.

Email Address Change

When you change your email address, a confirmation email is sent to the new email address to ensure that it has been entered correctly and that it is an email address you control.  A notification is also sent to your old email address for security purposes.

Password Change

The Change Password function is straightforward.  Simply enter in your old password, new password, then confirm your new password.

Two Factor Authentication (2FA)

Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds security by requiring a unique code from a smartphone app, refreshed every 30 seconds, alongside your email and password when logging in.

Notification Settings

Our system sends out notifications when certain events take place.  These notifications would include such things as reminders that a monthly rent payment is coming up on the next business day, that a PAD transaction has been processed or that a tenant has responded to a maintenance request update.

Notifications can be sent either by Email or SMS.  For more information on SMS notifications, please refer to this document.

New Prospect Notifications

You can enable/disable notifications for new prospects separately to avoid excessive emails, as advertising a unit may generate hundreds of inquiries.

Features

To keep our platform as clean and simple as possible, we will allow users to enable certain features that are disabled by default.  On this page, you can enable those features.

Team Member Accounts – Once this is enabled, you will see this under the People menu.  A team member is someone who has access to your account.  Typically, this is a staff member or someone who helps manage your units.  More on team members can be found here.

Invoice Property Owners – Available for Property Managers only.  This feature enables auto-generation of invoices from your business to your property owners.

Performance Calculator – Found under the Tools menu.  This is a calculator to help you understand the profitability and cashflow of a future investment.

Onboarding Widget – A helpful widget which guides you through the process of getting up and running.

SMS Notifications – Enables you and all Tenant/Prospects to receive SMS notifications.  More information here.

Finance System – Various configurations available for our PAD system.

Reports – Currently, the only report is the Rent Roll report.  This will show you a list of all tenants and what their configured payment is.  If enabled, this will appear under the Reports menu.

Close Account

In the event that you would like to close your account, navigate to this page, and follow the instructions.  Your account will be deleted, and eligible data will be purged from the system after a 90-day period.  Some information (like banking transactions) must be maintained for seven years.  To learn more, visit our terms and conditions and privacy policy documents.
